Mothering from the Inside Out (MIO) was developed over 20-years ago based on decades of research on attachment, parental reflective functioning, and mentalization.

Multiple randomized clinical trials have demonstrated MIO’s efficacy at improving parental reflective functioning, parenting behavior, the quality of the parent-child relationship, and even parental depression & substance use
